Mary E. (Schiltz) Demko, age 56, of Lakeland NY, departed this Earthly world and descended into Heaven on Friday November 29, 2013. Born on October 14, 1957 in Mt. Olive North Carolina to James and the late Dorothy (Zophie) Schiltz, she grew up on the West Side of Syracuse and moved to San Diego CA for a short time before returning to the Syracuse area. She touched the lives of everyone that knew her and she will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish in her memory are her loving husband of 32 years, Daniel J. Demko of Lakeland; son Daniel Demko of San Clemente CA; daughter Ashleigh (Joseph) Marzullo of Clay, and her 4 grand-children who were the light of her life, Anthony, Nicholas, Ariana and Alaina Marzullo, along with her 'other' children Eric, Susie, and Rebecca Steinbaugh of Lakeland. Also surviving are her 8 siblings; sisters, Susan (Don) Steinbaugh of Lakeland, Bonnie (Fay) Huff of Lakeland, Ramona (Douglas) Wheeler of Cicero, and Donna Gallardo of Phoenix; brothers, Jay (Brenda) Schiltz of Liverpool, James (Cathy) Schiltz of Cicero, Gary Schiltz of Solvay and Jeffrey Schiltz of NH. Brother-in-law Nicholas (Debra) Demko of San Diego CA and sister-in-law Deborah Larkin of San Diego CA. Countless nieces and nephews, her extended family "The Sherbournes" as well as many close friends including her Brennan Beach 'family'.

Ouchie lived for her family and spending time with them was her favorite pastime. She always put her family first and had a very generous heart. She was the beloved wife of Daniel, loving mother to Danny Boy & Ashleigh with whom she shared an unbreakable bond and devoted 'Ma' to her grandchildren. She was also a very special 'Mimi' to her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She loved gardening and spending her summers at Brennans Beach. She loved to travel and looked forward to her annual vacations with her daughter. She enjoyed motorcycle rides on the back of her husband's Harley and boat rides in Alexandria Bay on her brother-in-law Butch's boat. Ouchie will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Mary was greeted in Heaven by her mother, with open arms.
