Mary N. Bartosch, 88, passed away after a brief illness at James Square Nursing Home. She was born in Syracuse on April 9, 1926 and was a lifetime resident of Syracuse. She was employed at Carrier Corp. and Parish Maintenance & Supply until she retired. She liked to bowl, play golf and enjoyed playing pinnacle and bridge. She is predeceased by her husband, Francis Bartosch in 1993, a brother, Joseph Nelipowitz in 2009 and a sister, Rita Wilhelm in 2012.
Surviving are her son, Robert (Lynne), her grandson, Kevin, all of Clay, her sister, Joan Masucci, Baldwinsville, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday 10am at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 429 Beechwood Ave., Liverpool. Burial will take place at Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
The family of Mary would like to thank the nursing staff at James Square Nursing Home for their wonderful care she received.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Fund of CNY, Camillus.
