Mary Margaret Sharak
November 13, 2012
Marge Sharak, 66, passed on Tuesday evening, with family and friends at her side.
If one were to ask Marge's many friends to describe her in a word it would be Free Spirit. Ok, two words. Few had a zest for life like her; she lived to experience it all, learn about everything and love all she met. She inspired a sense of adventure in her family that has sent them travelling around the world. Two words never uttered by this woman are "I can't"; she always could or would try with all she had. Until the very end she was fiercely independent and active, would probably drive herself to the funeral if she could get the keys.
Marge loved to go beyond what was asked of her; family meals were extravagant and chaotic, Christmas and birthdays were ridiculous with abundance. It was always done as a reflection of her amazing love for her family and her friends, and if you were fortunate enough to be her friend you were also part her family.
Marge's time on earth has touched so many lives, the past week of her illness has shown us how deeply she is loved and appreciated. While we will miss her presence there is no vacuum, any hole left remains overflowing with her love, loyalty and devotion to those in her life, and this will forever endure in our hearts.
Marge is survived by her husband, John; sons Carl (Kelly), and Brendan Sharak; daughter, Melissa Cutter; grandsons, Aiden and Jonathan; sister Paula Becker; cousin Lou; close friend, Laura and her sons RJ and Jonathan; pets, Pikachu and the crazy chickens; and many friends and relatives. She is predeceased by her parents, George and Mary Cavanaugh; brother, Tony; and enough birds, dogs, cats, fish, ducks, gerbils, chickens, snakes and dinosaurs to fill several Arks. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your charity of choice.
Calling hours will be Friday, November 16, 2012 from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, with services to follow directly after.
