Mary Kathleen Norton, 92, of Cicero, passed away Friday at Loretto Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of Maurice and Mary McAuliffe of Solvay and she attended Solvay schools. Mary Kathleen graduated with honors from Nazareth College and taught twelfth year English at Jordan and Minoa high schools.

Mary Kathleen was a very special, altruistic person who thought of other people before she thought of herself. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her. She was a tremendous wife and mother.

Mary Kathleen enjoyed vacationing in the Adirondacks, New England and particularly repeated trips by ship to Ireland and Bermuda.

She was devoted to her family; husband Kenneth and sons, Kevin and Brian who survive her. Also surviving are several cousins and many close friends. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Robert, and sister Eileen.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 10 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church in North Syracuse with internment at St. Mary's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
