Mary Jane (Ditch) Forkhamer, 83, of Brewerton passed away Friday after a long illness. Born and raised in North Syracuse, she graduated from North Syracuse High School. Mary went on to Crouse Nursing School, graduating in 1950. She worked as a Registered Nurse. She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church, and a member of the Young at Heart Club.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years; Bob, 2 daughters; Francelia O'Connell of Rhode Island and Anne Benedict of Weedsport, a sister; Helen Gill of Anchorage, Alaska, step-children, James, Richard, Robert, Steven, Daniel, Alfred, Pat Lopes and Diane Clark.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, North Syracuse. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 5-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
