Mary E. Thompson, 65, left this earth to join her heavenly Father at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born on March 27, 1948. Mary graduated from Bishop Ludden High School, Continental Beauty School, Onondaga Community College and attended the University of Rochester.
She was a loving kind person, "Amazing Grace." Mary was passionate about all animals especially her cats. She worked tirelessly studying genealogy for several years. Her time on this earth included numerous health challenges that she embraced with style and grace. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Edward & Eleanor Thompson and nephew, Lawrence M. Lupo.
Surviving are her 3 sisters: Ellen Crouse, Kathleen Lupo and Hannah Whipple, nephews: W. Edward Lupo, Chris & Brendan Whipple, nieces: Mary Ellen Sharpe & Sheila Lupo, great nephew, Bill Sharpe and great niece Emilie Whipple.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Research or to the SPCA.
Calling hours will be held on Friday 3/14 from 5-6pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212, with services at 6pm.
