Mary Carley

Mary Carley, age 84, passed away April 1, 2017 after a brief illness.
A lifelong resident of the Syracuse area, Mrs. Carley retired from Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital after 26 years. She enjoyed many years of fun with friends in The Red Hat Dolls Club, and was a member of the Cicero Seniors Club.
She was predeceased by her parents, Donald and Bette Brodhead, her twin brother, Donald Brodhead II, and her beloved husband, Edward Carley.
Mrs. Carley is survived by her daughters, Bonnie (Miguel) Solis and Donna (Richard) Bardou, grandchildren Mary Bologansky, and David Bardou all of Florida; Sisters-in-Law, Mrs Ruthe Brodhead and Mrs. Jean Elk; several cousins, nieces and nephews, and her very best friend of many years, Stephen Wunder, all of Central New York.
Arrangements have been made by Newcomer Funeral Home. There will be no calling hours. Mrs. Carley will be laid to rest at her Woodlawn Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Assumption Food Pantry, 808 N. Salina St., Syracuse 13208, and please remember to be kind to everyone.
