Mary C. Burgen, 93, passed away on Thursday at her home. Mary was born on May 11, 1925 in Ogdensburg, NY the daughter of the late Rufus and Onie Turner.
Mary was a past State President of the Gold Star Mothers and Local Chapter 15. She was a member of the Cicero American Legion and the North Syracuse VFW. She volunteered at the VA Hospital and previously attended Andrews Methodist Church in N. Syracuse. Mary was last employed at Bristol Labs in Syracuse.
She was predeceased by her son, Errold Farrar and her daughter, Cheryl Kopf.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Sharleen (James) Reakes, 11 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services at 7pm.
