Mary Austin-Baehr

Mary Austin-Baehr, 93, of Liverpool passed away Saturday. Born January 10, 1915 in Sherrill, NY she graduated from Phoenix High School in 1932 and from Oswego Normal School in 1935. She earned her Baccalaureate, Master and Doctor of Education Degree's from Syracuse University. She was a faculty member at Western Reserve in Cleveland, OH, a lecturer at Harvard and the University of Hawaii for 8 years. She was past president of the International Reading Association. Mary traveled extensively in the US and foreign countries giving lecturers on Reading.
She is survived by her husband Herbert Baehr, sisters; Virginia Nemecek and Shirley Knickerbocker.
Services will be held on Sunday at 4 PM at the Grace Covenant Church, Stearns Rd. and Rt.31 Clay. Burial will be in Plainville Cemetery.
