Martin Eric Rougier (age 75) of Cicero, New York. Originally from Plattsburgh, New York passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024, surrounded by his family after a tough battle with lung cancer.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Marjorie Elizabeth Rougier (Rock), his father, Charles Rougier, his mother, Pauline Rougier (Martin), and his daughter, Michellene Rougier.
His surviving relatives are his daughters Tammy Rougier, Ericka Swank (James Swank Jr), and Heather DeGroff; his sisters Shirley Mock (Donald Sayah), Carol Rougier, Wanda Blair (Bernard (Bo) Blair), Charlene Lapham, Robin Stanton (Tim Stanton) and brother Timothy Rougier (Angie): his grandson Keith Rougier, several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Marty was a proud man, proud of his friends and family, and known for living at Godspeed in his younger years. He was full of life and had a sense of humor like no other. He was known for his one-of-a-kind laugh and his many fish stories. He had a way of making you believe he caught a 10-pound bass when, realistically, it was a 2-pound sunfish. He was a jokester and a storyteller; he would make sure you laughed hysterically the whole time he was present. Marty was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family.
Tough from the inside out, he fought till the last day with family by his side, who will miss him greatly.
