----Our beloved Martin Dolbear left this earth, and entered into the kingdom of God on November 22, 2024 surrounded by his loving family, after a long fight with a terminal illness.
Marty was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a fervent follower of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior. His passion was to see souls saved for God’s Kingdom.
He married his wife of 49 years, Kathleen (Dickson) and they set out to build an octagon log cabin in the middle of the woods, and then filled it with four sons. He built the house, tore it down, and then rebuilt it because he knew he could make it even better. He was a woodsman who feared nothing, a man whose purest purpose in life was to provide for his family. Everything else came second.
Marty worked for Book Fellowship International in his younger years, Believer’s Chapel, and then Dairy Farmers of America (DFA). He poured his quest for excellence into everything he did. He was an incredibly determined and hard worker, uncompromising in his pursuit of excellence in every position he held.
One of the biggest loves of his life was music, in which he was accomplished both on the creative and the technical side. He truly had a gift for it. Marty knew and loved every facet of music inside and out. He owned enough instruments for a 22 person band. He was constantly finding ways to acquire and then give away instruments, gear, and advice to anyone who showed the flourish of interest.
Legend has it he could be given a paperclip, two matchsticks, and a rubber band tasked to build a spaceship and somehow still have the paperclip left over.
He leaves behind his wife, Kathleen, his four sons, Scott (Stacey), Shaun, Kyle (Caitlin), Evan (Amanda) as well as eight grandchildren, Gio, Ethan, Joaquin, Aiyana, Killian, Piper, Miles and Gryffin.
He was a man of faith, he was a man of wisdom. He was a man of purpose, determination, and unconditional love. He leaves behind his remarkable legacy, and a host of broken hearts that will live on in his memory---
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
