Marlene Kaye Waterstraat

Marlene K. Waterstraat, 72, of West Monroe, passed away February 12, 2022. Marlene was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on July 30, 1949 to Samuel and Doris Street.
Marlene retired from being a Home Health Aide. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, writing, sewing, crocheting and gardening. She was a loving mother of three sons. She loved nature, especially humming birds. She especially loved spending time with her family, beloved poodle, Angie, and her "grand-dogs" Joey, Suzie, and Mae.
She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel D. Street and mother, Doris J. Street; son, Samuel Lawrence; and sister Barbara Osborne.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Darryl Waterstraat, two sons, Benjamin (Sara) Waterstraat, and Christopher (Jeffery Pearce) Waterstraat.
Her family plans to have a celebration of life in the summerincluding all of her favorite food, music, and photographs.
