Mark L. French, 70, of Syracuse passed away on Monday with his loving family by his side. Mark was born in Glens Falls, NY on October 18, 1949 the son of the late Leon and Mildred French. He served with the US Marine Corps. Mark was a teacher for many years and retired from St. Joseph's Hospital as a LPN. Mark was in many bands and enjoyed playing guitar with his lifetime friend, Duffy Whitcomb.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Joanne; three daughters, Heather (Edward) Sherwood, Sarah Cottet, Elizabeth (Scott) Perkins; son, Jason (Hillary) French; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Nicolas, Grace, Viviann, Tyler, Lincoln, Natalie, Maverick, & Penelope; one great grandchild, Callie; sister, Kathy (Rick) Davis; brothers, Tom French, Loren (Linea) French, Gary French; along with nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday March 14, from 1-4 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse., with services at 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of CNY.
