Marinda L. Martin, 93, of Syracuse, departed this life to be with the Lord, on Thursday, surrounded by family. She was a member of NYS Beauty Culturist Assoc. and received her Doctorate from the NBCL. She loved her family and friends and was well traveled. Marinda was a long standing member of Bethany Baptist Church. She is predeceased by her mother, Marinda Hall and father, Oliver Hall; 11 sisters and brothers; son, John W. McKenzie.

She is survived by her daughters, Helen Robinson, Brenda McKenzie and Shirley (McArthur) White; grandchildren, Laquisha Ogltree, Clarence B. May, Acena Lane, Cassondra Jones and Jack Levert; and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday, 11 AM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Calling hour will be Thursday from 10-11 AM at the funeral home, before services.
