Marie L. Bennett

Marie L. Bennett, 86, of Cicero, passed away October 14th, 2022. Marie was born in Syracuse, New York on March 20th, 1936 to Henry and Margaret Loehner. Marie retired from North Syracuse School District as a Teachers Aid at Roxboro Elementary. She was an amazing wife, mother, mother in law, grandmother aka "GiGi," and comedian. She had a way with her words that always made everyone in the room laugh. In her free time, she enjoyed reading murder mystery novels and traveling with her love Freddy. Marie was as she said, "The All Purpose Whatever."

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Bennett; father, Henry Loehner; and mother, Margaret Loehner.

She is survived by her two daughters, Colleen Blenis and Kelli Harrington; two sons in law, Shannon Harrington and Chris Blenis; grandson, Tristan Harrington; granddaughter, Sara Harrington; and sister, Sharon Neyhart.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 19th 2022, from 4-6PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, North Syracuse. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
