Marian F. Smith passed away on Thursady from natural causes, 16 days short of her 100th birthday. Marian was born in Cortland on August 1, 1915 and lived for many years in Eastwood. She worked as a secretary for the federal government and later for General Electric before retiring from GE in 1979. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Syracuse. She enjoyed writing poetry and perusing old photographs from days gone by.
She is survived by her nieces Barbara Cochran of Yucca, AZ and Elsie Pinkowski of Edgewater, FL.
