Maria A. Tirado, 66, of North Syracuse passed away peacefully Friday morning, October 3, 2008 at home after a courageous battle with heart disease. She was a loving woman who took pleasure in the simple things of life. Her main focus was her family and she never turned anyone away who needed a shoulder to cry on or ears to listen to. Her heart stopped beating in her chest and now beats in the hearts of all who knew her.
Born January 1, 1942 in Caguas Puerto Rico. Maria was the daughter of the late Gabino and Angelina (Rodriguez) Tirado and the sister of the late Juan Cruz, Feliz Cruz, Domingo Cruz, Josephina Cruz and Felicita Tirado.
She is survived by her loving children, Carmelo, Reynaldo, and Romualdo Tirado; Diane (Juan) Rivera, Ivette (David) Kashmer; brothers Cantalisio Cruz, Miguel Angel Cruz, Jose Luis Cruz and Hector Cruz; sisters Raphaela Cruz, Lydia Tirado, and Heriberta Tirado; 7 grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
Services will be Monday, 5PM at New Comer Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Calling Hours will be Monday from 3-5PM at the funeral home, before services.
