Is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved María del Carmen López Rodríguez, known to many as Carmín and affectionately called “The Queen of All Abus” by her cherished grandchildren. She left this world on February 27 of 2025 at 67 years old, surrounded by the love of her family.
Carmín was a woman of immense strength, warmth, and generosity. She dedicated her life to her family, always putting the needs of others before her own. As a mother, she was our protector, our guide, and our greatest source of love. As a grandmother, she was a source of endless joy and affection, holding a special place in the hearts of those who adored her most. She will be deeply missed by the many friends whose lives she touched. Her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by daughters: Margarita Rivera (Angel Rivera), Yadira Rivera (Cory Brocious), grandchildren: Valeria I. Pizarro Rivera, Sebastián A. Brocious Rivera, siblings: Ada Lourdes López Ruiz, Virgenmina López, Migdalia López, Roberto Acevedo, Leida I. Acevedo, Orlando López, Mayra López, Edwin López, and Griselle López.
She was predeceased by her son Nelson Rivera and sister Rosa I. López.
Visitation will be held on Friday March 7, 2025 from 3-4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with a service at 4pm.
Though she is no longer with us, Carmín's love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Rest in peace, our beloved mother, our queen.
