Marguerite S. Sears, 89 died Sunday at Pontiac Care and Rehab. Center in Oswego. Marguerite was born in Mildred, Pa., daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Dubosh Polinsky. She was a lifelong resident of Solvay. Mrs. Sears retired from Rite-Aid in Fairmount as Assistant Manager. She previously worked for Pass & Seymour, Daw's and Rexall Pharmacies. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid gardener.
She was predeceased by her husband, James A. Sears Jr. in 2007, her sister, Mary A. Dubenko and brother, Andrew M. Polinski.
Surviving are her daughter; Susan (Dan) Smith of Parish, a granddaughter, Tracy (Dave) Perkins of Williamstown, two great- grandchildren; Ryan and Alaina Perkins, a sister-in-law: Barbara Tully of Gettysburg, Pa. and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 am Saturday at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Durhamville. There will be no calling hours.
