Marguerite H. Murray

Marguerite H. Murray, 85, of North Syracuse, passed away Saturday at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Marguerite was born in Bretagne, France and immigrated to the United States in November, 1962. She proudly became a US Citizen in 1980. She was employed by Nationwide Insurance Company, retiring in 1999 and was formerly employed with GE and McMillan Book Company. Marguerite was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church. After retirement, she spent several years as a volunteer at North Area Meals on Wheels.
She was an incredibly strong woman raising her three children on her own. She married her husband David Murray on November 12, 1977 and gained four wonderful step children.
She was highly skilled with knitting needles and crochet hooks. We will all miss her crocheted towels and hand-made mittens. She loved her flowers and spent many hours perfecting her gardens. She had a wonderful sense of humor even when being teased about her French accent and pronunciation of words.
She treasured her children, grand-children and great grandchild and embraced every moment with them. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Marguerite was predeceased by her husband David H. Murray, parents Jean Perrichot and Rose Le Bois, brothers Rene Perrichot, Marcel Perrichot and Roger Perrichot; sisters Madeline Perrichot and Denise Delourme.
Surviving are her son, Pascal Radley of Westerville, OH; daughters Susan (Jon) Woodworth of Liverpool, NY and Christina (Art) Dreher of Clay, NY; step daughters Sandra Jarvis of Cazenovia, NY, Jill Taylor of West Monroe, NY and Heather Parker of Homer, NY; step son David Murray of Constantia, NY; sisters Anna LeMercier and Marie-Therese Capoulade, sisters-in-law Yvonne & Marie Perrichot; brother-in-law Yves Delourme and many nieces and nephews of France; six grandchildren, Zachary Radley, Seth (Hannah) Radley, Tyler Radley, Christopher (Alyssa) Woodworth, Katey (Lester) Lee and Lauren (Tyler) McJilton; and one great-grandchild Zoey Woodworth.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 705 N. Main Street, N. Syracuse, with a memorial service immediately following. Marguerite will be laid to rest in North Syracuse Cemetery with a private ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to North Area Meals on Wheels or Hospice of CNY.
