Margery E. Bauer, 77, loving mother and grandmother passed away on Wednesday. Born in Syracuse to Frank & Gert Fountain on July 23rd, 1928, "Betty Boop" (her Papa gave her the nickname), she lived each day with GOD fully in her mind and heart. She loved and appreciated her faithful family and true friends. Her happiest times were doing things with her daughter, son-in-law, granddaughters and friends. Betty enjoyed watching and feeding her birds and squirrels. She had a sharp, wonderful sense of mischief and humor. She is predeceased by her husband, Karl E. Bauer who died July 2, 1981.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Charlene Sue and Stephen C. LaFleur, granddaughters; Kristy Mari and Karlee Elizabeth, brother; Bob (Alpha) Fountain and her "Mr. Sunshine", Allan Weir.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, North Syracuse. Burial will follow in North Syracuse Cemetery. Friends may visit with her family on Monday from 4-7 PM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, 705 North Main St., North Syracuse. Steve and Charlene will be having an Open House at their home from 12-8 PM on Tuesday for family and friends.
