Margaret Theresa (Merrick) Cordrey, 88 died peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital on Sunday. Born November 4, 1919 in Morrisdale, PA she resided in Chino Valley, AZ for 30 years where she was a communicant of St. Catherine of LaBoure Church. She enjoyed making crafts and playing cards. She had worked for the government in Washington, DC, Merchant Bank, Syracuse, Fannie Farmers and at Paddy's Ranch. She is predeceased by her husband Leonard R. Cordrey in 1980, parents Philip and Mary Marcek, sisters; Julia Traylour, Ann LaMantia and recently Dorothy Merlin.
She is survived by her sisters; Martha Merrick, Nancy (Michael) Wyak, brother; James E. (Sandra) Merrick and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Route 11, Cicero. Burial will take place with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N Main St., North Syracuse.
