Margaret Lee Yerkes Tanyer, 76, of Clay, passed away on Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital with family by her side.
She was born on November 4, 1935 in Cambridge, MD daughter of Milton and Beatrice Yerkes. She has been bookkeeper for Dr. Rebecca McPherson Optometrist for over 16 years. She was a past member of the Daughters of American Revolution and American Federation of Women's Club. Margaret was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and original Soccer Mom.
Surviving are her husband Albert of 57 years, son
Albert (Debra) Tanyer, 2 daughters; Laura Tanyer, Rebecca (Kenneth) McPherson, 5 grandchildren; James (Stephanie) Burk, John McPherson, Kaitlyn Tanyer, David Tanyer and Scott McPherson, 2 great grandchildren, Christopher, Jeremy Burk, along with her sister, JoAnn Nagel.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday 1pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
