Peggy Anne Bowles of Syracuse died March 25 at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse. Surrounded by her family, she was 86 years of age. Peggy was born in Utica NY on October 15 1928; she was the daughter of Mamie Allday of Clarke Co. Al and Robert Marston of Madison Co. NY. Peggy was the wife of the late Alfred O Bowles and together they raised a large family in Syracuse NY. She worked for many years at the White Tower restaurant establishments in Syracuse and part time at the Atlas Linen Company. She loved bingo, cards and the casinos. Peggy was courageous and witty. She recalled and shared many stories with her family during her last hours creating an atmosphere of levity.
Besides her husband and parents Peggy was predeceased by sons Kim Paul, Theodore J, William A and Jan Richard Bowles.
She is survived by daughters Patricia Arcaro, Carol Phillips and Joann Germond along with sons George A, Robert D, Paul R. and Ronald G. Bowles. She loved her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Peggy's life will be held Monday 2pm at Newcomer Funeral home in North Syracuse.
