Margaret M. Huntley, 68, went to be with the Lord after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 11, 1945 she lived in this area all her life. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in North Syracuse.
She was able to light up any room she was in and deeply loved her family and grandchildren. The Thousand Islands region held a special place in her heart as a child and she passed on her love of the river to her family. She enjoyed making holiday crafts and flower arrangements for friends, and always put a smile on their faces. She was a very kind and caring person and her inner beauty was even more outstanding than her outer beauty. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband, William of 48 years, 2 sons: Matthew & Daniel (Tammy), one daughter, Andrea, 3 grandchildren: Amanda, Wade & Monica, 2 brothers: Jack & Dan Mereau, sister, Sally Locke, along with nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday 10am at St. Rose of Lima. Burial will take place at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
