Margaret June Smith-Kingston, 82, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday. She was born in Syracuse and worked on the NYS Thruway exit 35 Marriott Restaurant for about 25 years. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren, loved to bake holiday cookies and celebrate with family. She loved to read and work on her genealogy. Margaret is predeceased by her husbands, Calvin C. Sharp Sr. and Paul H. Kingston; daughter, Cheri L. Sharp; brother, Glenn D. Smith.
She is survived by sons, Calvin C. Sharp Jr. of San Francisco, California, Robert D. Sharp of Spring, Texas and Michael E. Sharp of Greece; daughters, Lynda J. (Wayne) Paige, Debbie A. Sharp, both of Rochester, New York, Susan M. (Samuel, M.D.) Paris and Kimberly K. (Kathy Ackerman) Hyde both of North Syracuse, New York; many grandchildren, and great grandchildren; step-children, including Brian Kingston of Nunda, New York; brothers, Kenneth Smith, Bruce Smith both of Brewerton, New York, Paul Smith of Kentucky; sister, Virginia Radley of Central Square, New York; several nieces and nephews; and her personal care provider and friend, Jean Peterson of Syracuse, New York.
She will be remembered especially by her grandchildren, Paul and Jennifer Hyde and Adam Sharp all of Syracuse.
Calling hour will be Tuesday from 6-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will follow at 7PM at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
