Margaret Grace Davis, 96, went home to be with the Lord after a short illness.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Eva (Hamilton) and Edgar George.
She married the love of her life on Sept. 2, 1939. They were married for 69 years.
She worked as the church secretary at North Syracuse Baptist Church until she retired with her husband to St. Petersburg, FL. They returned to Syracuse after 20 years in Florida to be with their children. She spent many hours a day reading her Bible which gave her such comfort.
Surviving are her two children, Judy (Tony) Giarrosso of Pompey and Paul (Melody) Davis of Phoenix; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ruth Lasco of Phoenix, AZ and Josephine Blumenshine of Ottawa, IL.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Friday at North Syracuse Baptist Church. Burial will be at Onondaga Veterans Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Thursday, also at the church.
Memorial gifts in Margaret's name can be made to the North Syracuse Baptist Church or to The Rescue Mission.
