Margaret A. "Peggy" Nowakowski, 71, of Clay, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse. She was born on August 21, 1942 in Elmira, NY, daughter of Harold Rankin and Margaret Joslyn.
She last worked at Pitcher Hill Community Church, Liverpool. Peggy was a member of Syracuse HOG, Salt City Riders, DeWitt Fish & Game Club and the Faith Lutheran Quilt Guild. She enjoyed needle work, socializing with friends; and her family: and motorcycling. She was predeceased by her brother, Ed and sister, Connie.
Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Walt, her son Robert (Sherrie) Kuhnel, 2 daughters: Kellie Goyette, Lisa Kuhnel, 8 grandchildren: Emily, Alex, Sara, Samuel, Maxwell, Grace, Paige, Sydney, 2 brothers: Larry Rankin, Stewart (Patricia) Rankin, sister, Carol (Tom) Null.
A celebration of her life will be on Monday 11am at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Horseheads, NY. All are welcomed. Following the celebration there will be a luncheon at the Parish Hall. There will be no calling hours.
