Marcia Louise Hogg

Marcia Louise Hogg died December 19, 2010 in Syracuse, after a long battle with cancer. Born September 8, 1944, Marcia grew up in Warwick, RI, attending St. Paul's School , Cranston, RI, Aldrich Junior High and Warwick Veterans' Memorial High School, graduating in 1962. She was the daughter of the late William C. and Louise Barry Hogg. After receiving her BA from Western College for Women, Oxford, Ohio, in 1967, she taught for several years in New Hampshire before following her husband, Charles Buckley, to Syracuse, for his work. She remained there for the rest of her life. In addition to her career in personnel placement and retail, she was a longtime and active volunteer for the Central New York AIDS Community Resources including the AIDS Hotline and the Names AIDS Quilt Project. She provided support for those in crisis, meals, and hospice for those dying of AIDS.
Marcia is survived by her two beloved sisters, Carla Hoag White of San Francisco and Sheila Hogg of Cranston, RI.
There will be no wake or funeral service.
