Madelyn E. Post, 86, of Park Terrace, Baldwinsville, passed away on Tuesday. Born in Rome, NY on September 30, 1928, she grew up in Central NY and Northern NJ and graduated from Trenton State Teachers College. In 1954, she married Russell G. Post (CSM Ret. Army) and traveled throughout the country and abroad. Settling in Camden, NY, they raised their three children and she supported Russ in his many endeavors as his manager and bookkeeper. In addition to being a homemaker, she enjoyed substitute teaching and being active in the Camden VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Literacy Volunteers, and other community groups. Her favorite activities were enjoying family, late night snacking, and socializing with many friends at ParkTerrace.
She is predeceased by her husband, Russell G. Post (CSM Ret. Army), May 17, 2009.
She is survived by her children, Stephen (Lani), David (Tony) and Lynda (Dan) Lang; granddaughters Alison, Lindsey and Riley; a sister, Virginia Trowbridge; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 1-4 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will follow at 4PM.
