Madeline L. Abel, 85, of Manlius, passed away Tuesday at Loretto. Madeline was an RN and she loved to crochet. She was a devoted wife, mother and loving grandmother.
Madeline is survived by her husband of 59 years, C. Fred Abel; her children, Diane (Steve) Fairbank of Fayetteville, Charles (Debbie) F. Abel III, of Ogdensburg, NY, and Tim (Karen) Abel of Hendersonville, TN; her grandchildren, Stacey, Tim, Collin, Kelsey and Dallas; her siblings, Phyllis Law, Julia Keenan and Fred (Betty) LaMont; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial will be held on Thursday 3 p.m. at Loretto Interfaith Chapel, 700 E. Brighton Ave., Syracuse, NY 13205. There will be no calling hours.
In Lieu of flowers Contributions can be made to Loretto Health and Rehabilitation, 6th floor, 700 E. Brighton Ave., Syracuse, NY 13205.
