Lynn L. "Pete" Recore, Sr., 79, of East Syracuse, passed away on Wednesday at home with his family resulting from complication sustained in a car accident. He was born in Fayetteville, son of Philip and Daisy Recore. He served in the US Marines from 1951-54 and was last employed at Upstate University. Pete was a former member of the American Legion, he enjoyed fishing, bowling, gardening and spending time with family & friends. He also enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards and betting on the horses. He was predeceased by his wife Mabel and his son, Marty.
Survived by his children, Lynn, Jr. (Mary), Christine (David) Jacobs, Pauline (Peter) D'Eredita, Thomas (Christine), Peter (Cheryl), Frank, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1-4pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Services will be held on Monday 10am at the funeral home. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt.
