Lynn Edward Ellis, 67, of Mesa, AZ and formerly of Lyncourt passed away on Friday. He retired from Carrier Corp. with 34 years of service. He was a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Tigris Temple Shriner's field band. He was a past Chief for the Lyncourt Fire Dept. and Army veteran where he was a paratrooper with the rank of Staff Sgt. He is survived by his son, David (Lori) Ellis of North Syracuse; daughter, Lori (Kelly) Matthews of AZ; brothers, Robert and Daniel of Florida; sister, Toni Baker of Brewerton; and six grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday at 8 PM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Private burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends are invited to call on Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home, 705 North Main St.
