Lucy M. Chase

Lucy M. Chase, 85, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at James Square on Saturday. Born in Syracuse, she was a life long resident of Syracuse and a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church. Lucy was a homemaker and retired with her husband, Harlan, in 1985 as self employed interior decorators. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, who lived her life as a kind, generous, thoughtful and unselfish person. Her "Life" was always helping others.
Lucy is survived by her husband of 60 years, Harlan; daughter, Joyce (Ed) Roberts of East Syracuse; sons, Michael (Patricia) of Camillus, Timothy (Denise) of North Syracuse; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Mackenzie Chase, one sister, Cora Costa of Lyncourt and several nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours will be Tuesday from 12-2PM at New Comer Funeral Home with Services to follow at 2PM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of "4 South" at James Square for their compassionate care to Lucy during her illness.
