Lucy Anne Salatte

September 15, 1939 — June 30, 2016

Lucy Anne (Kitty) Salatte (born "Lupone") died peacefully in the presence of her children on June 30, 2016 in Westchester County, New York. She was 76.

Lucy was born on September 15, 1939 in Syracuse, New York to her parents, Frederick and Lucille Lupone. She married John Salatte who predeceased her in 2001. Lucy and John moved to North Syracuse and raised their 3 boys, John, Michael and Thomas and their one daughter Kimberly Case. Lucy's second child Mark died as an infant.

Lucy had a successful career in data processing at Marine Midland Bank, followed by graduating as a paralegal from LeMoyne College and becoming a paralegal at a law firm and finally as an associate in Wegmans' cheese department.

Lucy spent her retirement traveling and seeing her grandchildren Ashley Salatte, Michael Salatte, Aidan Case, Maeve Case and her honorary granddaughter Brittany Piazza and making new friends all the while.

Lucy is also survived by her loving siblings Frederick Lupone, Bruce Lupone, Jean Vella and David Lupone, as well as her godchildren Frederick Lupone and Josh Vella.

A memorial service for Lucy will take place on Wednesday, July 6 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 408 South Main Street, North Syracuse, NY. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lucy's life with a luncheon to follow her services at the church's hall.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to St. Rose of Lima Church.
