Louis J. Dauccio, 82, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, August 9, at Crouse Hospital with a short illness. He worked at Loblaw's over 20 yrs. and retired from BJ Wholesale Warehouse. He coached girls' softball and umpired softball. He enjoys fishing, bowling, the Yankees and was a big sports fan.

Survivors are his wife of 59 years, Joyce A.; five daughters, Julie Dauccio, Linda Dauccio, Louise Dauccio-Wood, Katherine Dauccio and JoAnn (Dauccio) Graham; sisters, Josephine (Richard) Salvagni and Anne Marie (Pete) Phillips; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Louis' family would like to thank the entire staff at Crouse Hospital for the wonderful care and compassion he received.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
