Louis A. Ungaro

Louis A. Ungaro, 40, of Syracuse died suddenly on Sunday after roller skating with his family. Born in Syracuse, he owned and operated Lou's Home Improvements. He was a NYS Junior Olympic Boxing Champion. A sportsman that enjoyed fishing, bowling and softball. He was also a speed skater at both the state and national level.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Joyce, his son; Jason, daughters; Casandra, and Sara, God daughter Samantha Crosby, his father; John & step-mother Beverly, his mother Dawn & step-father Anthony Herlowski. A loved and respected mentor Richie Euson, Three brothers; John Ungaro, James Ungaro and Kevin Lathrop and six sisters; Brenda Mauro, Jacqueline Ungaro, Heidi Euson, Joanna Mallory, Kathy Ungaro and Michelle Anderson. Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Monday at 10 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt. Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 1-4 PM at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street.
