Loretta J Vogelsang

August 1, 1934 — April 12, 2020

Loretta J. Vogelsang, 85, of Liverpool, passed away April 12, 2020.

Loretta was born in Lansing, Michigan on August 1, 1934 to the late Anthony Ezzo and Helen Zona Ezzo. Loretta was a career wife, mother and grandmother and adored her children and grandchildren and just about anyone's children and gushed over babies; but she also wore many hats and cared for all those who needed her help. She was always happy to have guests in her home and because she was a masterful Italian cook, she would always have an ample supply of home baked goods which she shared with many and fulfilled many requests for various ceremonies and parties throughout her life. She was the child caregiver to several families from the time they were babies to the day they graduated from elementary school and beyond. She loved to laugh and loved to cry. She was often the life of a party and would dance with any willing partner. She was dedicated to her church and she passed away on the day she cherished the most of all religious holidays: Easter.

Many will remember her for her loving, giving soul and she will be greatly missed by all, but none more than the love of her life, Lee. She weathered many storms in her final years with the dedicated services of the PACE organization and gave us more time to enjoy her presence than we could have ever expected. She now is at peace and will join her beloved family and friends on the other side.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Beeles, Anna Gottschalk.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Lee Vogelsang; daughter, Jeanne (Tom) Comer; two sons, Leland Vogelsang, Glenn (Cecilia) Vogelsang; sister, Norma Miguel; brother, John Ezzo; grandchildren, Renee, Morgan, Ashlyn, Austin, and Carter Vogelsang.

Services to take place at a later date.
