Lonnie G. Bishop, 49 of Mexico, NY, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023.
Born in Syracuse, NY on February 18, 1974 to Lonnie Weaver and Sandra Bishop.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a truck driver for several years with Penske Logistics. He loved listening to all genres of music, dancing and spending time with his family, friends and all the littles in his life. He was Uncle Lonnie to so many. His passion was the connections he had with all of his people. Everyone that knows Lonnie, agrees he had an amazing sense of humor and a laugh that they will never forget. He was the most genuine, fun, loving and caring soul. He was down for anything. Wherever there were memories to be made, you would find him…as long as there were no snakes or heights!
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 8 years, Jamie; their children, Tristan and Hayden; mother, Sandra Bishop; father, Lonnie Weaver; stepfather, Anthony Wright; mother-in-law, Dawn (Diva) Dennis; father(s) in law, Larry Dennis and Tony Carr; siblings, Audra (Nick) Degilormo, Juanita Wright, Anthony Bishop, Linda Weaver, Annie Cora Bellinger, David Weaver, Kelvin Weaver, Jeffery Weaver, Lester (Mack) Weaver, Johnny Morgan, Jayccee Floyd, Misty Reynolds, Robert (Ashley) Reynolds, Jeremy (Melissa) Reynolds and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held at Calvary Chapel, 103 Grampian Road, Liverpool, NY 13090 on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 4-7pm and Saturday, December, 2, 2023 from 11-1pm with services to follow at 1pm. Visit newcomersyracuse.com.
