Lois M. Spagnola, 79, passed away peacefully at the Francis House after a brief illness. Lois was born on June 18, 1935 to Roy and Pearl McComsey in Lancaster, PA where she was raised. She always loved and was proud of her Pennsylvania Dutch roots. She moved to Syracuse in 1955 where she raised her family and worked part time for Fays Drugs, Dey Brothers and the Top of the Hill Restaurant. At the age of 58 Lois went back to school at CCBI and applied her new skills working for Loretto. For the past 14 years Lois resided at Brighton Towers where she enjoyed socializing with her many friends.
Lois is survived by her companion, Dennis Rathbun, her 4 daughters: Pamela (Michael) Reilly, Kristine (Chris) Gonzalez, Susan Barni (David Marble), Elizabeth (Ben) Bray, her grandchildren, Lauren, (Matt) Mumau, Kristen (Greg) Ryder, Michele Reilly, Cara and Rachel Gonzalez, Derek Spagnola, Elise & Shane Bray.
Services will be private.
