Lois Jean Fake, 71, of Central Square, passed away on Tuesday, at home, with her family by her side.
Lois was born on September 2, 1948, the daughter of the late Louis and Gertrude Rhoades.
Lois was a volunteer at Hospice of CNY, and she was a member of Person to Person Organization of CNY. Lois was an active member at the Caughdenoy United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed camping with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing crafts for family and friends.
She was previously employed at Cleveland Elementary School and Syracuse University as a secretary.
Lois is survived by her loving husband, Philip; 2 sons, David Fake and Andrew Fake; 3 grandchildren, Kylie, Nate, and Clarissa; great grandchild, Vinnie; 3 brothers, Robert (Darlene) Rhoades, Howard (Rita) Rhoades, and Charles Rhoades; sister, Trudi (Rod) Porter; along with, many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 9, from 1-4 pm, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse, with services at 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of CNY.
