Lloyd H. Boyce Sr., of Bridgeport, New York passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. He was born on December 31, 1925 in Syracuse, New York to the late Lloyd and Ethel Boyce.
Lloyd was 18 years old when he went into the Army in 1944. He spent his 19th Birthday, Christmas and New Years on a troop ship with 4000 other soldiers. The ship was out of Amsterdam and it took 3 weeks to reach Le Havre, France. He was a replacement in the 28th Infantry Division and he was in the 2nd Infantry Division. He took part in the Ardennes Battle and the Battle of the Bulge, on a 30 Cal Air Cooled Machine Gun Squad. Lloyd was Honorably Discharged from Ft. Lewis, WA.
He worked as a carpenter with Hancock Air Base for 18 years. Lloyd was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by his children, Lloyd and Wendy; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife, Myrtle and a daughter, Linda.
Burial will remain private.
