Linda Alida (Smith) (Schanbacher) Taylor, 76, died Tuesday August 25, 2020 at her home in LaFayette, N.Y. She was born February 10, 1944 in Wellsboro, PA to Alberta (Bea) and the late Edwin E. Smith.
She was the loving wife of Conrad Taylor married on April 28, 2009.
Linda was a graduate of Southside High School in Elmira, NY and also of Corning Community College, Corning, NY.
She was employed for many years as a Syracuse City Clerk under Judge Langston McKinney.
She loved her children and family and was the happiest being a great mom, grandma, aunt, sister and daughter plus step mom for all our family. Her interests included skiing, boating, motorcycling, and most of all shopping.
She is survived by her husband Conrad Taylor, mother Bea Smith, Horseheads NY, brother Jaymie Smith, Corning, NY, sister Garnette (Ben) Westbrook, Nashua, NH, sons Todd Schanbacher (Terri), Jamesville, NY, Aaron Schanbacher (Tami), Clay, NY, daughter Renee Schanbacher (Chuck Phillips), Kirkville, NY, and grandchildren Cole Schanbacher and Erika Schanbacher, nephews Jeffrey Westbrook (Kristin, Astoria, NY and Justin Smith (Wendy), Seneca, SC; step-sons, Conrad M.Taylor (Kayoko) and Christopher Taylor (Christina).
Wake will be held on Wednesday, September, 9th 2020 from 1-3pm. Funeral Service will follow at 3pm.
