Michael J. (Nick) Nicholson, graduate of Most Holy Rosary 1961, was a Teamster Member since 1960. He held many positions within the Teamsters over the past 50 years. He was always found with a hammer, level, saws and nails, which he continued after retirement with his own business. Mike was a summer resident of Panther Lake for 53 years which was his second love. He and his friend of 64 years, Peter Casey, found many hours of entertainment together. Whether in the "old neighborhood", their weddings and births of their children, to being involved in the local area playing cards, horse shoes and the golf outings of "Charlie's", their friendship lasted through thick and thin.
Mike's first love and forever lasting was his family. Mike was devoted to his wife, Linda, of 48+ years, his children listed above, his sisters and his many nieces and nephews. After this battle with cancer, Mike is now at home.
Linda D. Nicholson, graduate of St. John the Baptist 1962, was married to Michael J. Nicholson September 15, 1962 and was also a devoted partner. Linda mothered her 4 children, acquired her LPN degree while living in Florida, worked many years as a LPN and continued home health care when the family returned to Minoa, New York. Upon retirement, she volunteered at St. Joseph's Hospital until her untimely death. Linda's second love was shopping. "If I could live in Shoppingtown's back yard, I would be the happiest woman alive"! Her love for her grandson, Casey will be everlasting. She will truly be smiling down on him in all of his endeavors. With this very bazaar accident, Linda will continue her partnership with Mike; for as they lived, they have been joined in death.
Peace to you both, until we meet again.
Your family.
