Linda A. Mcginley
December 20, 1944 — August 17, 2023
Linda A. Phillips McGinley, 78, of Central Square, gained her wings on August 17, 2023. Born in Akron, Ohio on December 20, 1944 to Archie and Dorothy Phillips, she was raised in Oswego, NY and then resided in Central Square for the last 27 years.
Linda retired from Key Bank, Syracuse. She loved playing cards, bingo, and going to the casino. She had a special spot in her heart for her cats and birds. Her greatest joy was her family. Linda was truly an amazing woman that will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Dorothy Phillips; granddaughter, Julia Reade.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Joseph R. McGinley; daughter, Kelly (Benjamin) Reade; granddaughters, Jillian (Andrew) and Jessica (Matthew); great granddaughter, Peyton MacMaster; sister, Carolyn (Dave) Ewald; nephew, Christopher (Cheryl); and great niece, Ashley.
Calling hours will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 from 10-11am at New Comer Cremations and Funerals. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30am at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero.
