Linda Frances Hinman

Linda Frances Hinman (Marcinkowski) passed away peacefully on the evening July 27th, 2018 at the age of 70.

Linda was born August 23, 1947, in Syracuse, NY. She spent nearly all of her life in Central New York, growing up on the West Side of Syracuse and graduating from Blodgett Vocational High School in 1965. She lived in Central Square for over 20 years where she was an active member of St. Michael's Church (now Divine Mercy). After some years in Bridgeport and North Syracuse, Linda moved to Texas to be closer to her family in 2017.
She retired from Morgan Stanley in Syracuse in 2012 after 30+ years with the company, and stayed in touch with the many lifelong friends she made there. Linda was very active in the New York State PTA, serving as Central District Director from 1992-1995. She was a member of the NYS PTA Board of Managers, and in 2009 was awarded a PTA Lifetime Achievement Award. Linda enjoyed cooking and hosting parties for her many friends and family. Her home and camp were always a gathering place for great food and company.

Linda is survived by her mother, Dorothy Marcinkowski (Fuller) of Katy, TX; her brother Daniel (Pamela) Marcinkowski of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; her daughter Maureen Cooper (Hinman), son-in-law Chris Cooper, granddaughter Isabella Cooper of Rosenberg, TX; and her beloved cat, Luke.

Linda was predeceased by her father, Sigmund Marcinkowski in 1974.

A Celebration Of Life will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse on Saturday, August 11 at 3pm. Linda will be laid to rest in the place she enjoyed most: Brantingham, NY, where she spent many summers with loved ones at Pleasant Lake.
