Linda Herbert, 59, of North Syracuse, passed away Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Syracuse, she worked for the Scotsman Press and dedicated her time to her children and grandchildren. Linda is predeceased by her father, Herbert Huntley and a granddaughter, Ashley Robillard.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Lawrence Herbert; three children, Lisa (Thomas) Cook, Louis (Debbie) Herbert III, Lynnette (Richard) Deacons; and "adoptive" daughter, Elizabeth (James) Robillard; mother, Rosella Huntley; brother, William Huntley; sisters, Julie Huntley, Rebecca Bivone; 10 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Services will be held on Tuesday, 7 PM at New Comer Family Funeral Home. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to either the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation or the Arthritis Foundation.
