Lillian T. (Minissali) Ponto, 87, of Cicero, went peacefully to join her husband Carmen on Friday. She was born on December 2, 1928 to the late Richard and Gaetana (Police') Minissali.
In her early years she worked at A & P Bakery where she met her future husband Carmen. Lillian was a homemaker and raised 4 children. Later she worked at Buttermaid Bakery then Williams Importing Co. as Deli Manager until her retirement. She enjoyed her family, loved cooking her famous lasagna, crocheting & crafts. She was devoted to praying her rosary daily and attended mass and Stations of the Cross during Holy Week at Sacred Heart in Cicero. She was a member of the Cicero Senior Center and the Red Hat Dolls of Cicero.
She was predeceased by her husband Carmen and her 6 siblings.
Surviving are her 4 children; Sandra (John) Muratore, Cynthia Ostrander, Carmen A. (Mary) Ponto, John (Judy) Ponto, 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews and her pets, Precious and Princess.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday 10am at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero. Entombment at Woodlawn Mausoleum.
