Lester H. Burgmeier, Jr., 88, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Monday.
He was born on June 27, 1925 in Syracuse son of the late Lester and Rita Burgmeier. He served in the US Navy during WW II. He retired in 1984 from Niagara Mohawk, after a long career as supervisor of the line dept. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Liverpool. He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and wintering in Florida. He was a true family man and a father figure to more than just his children.
He was predeceased by his sister, Althea.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 63 years, Barbara, 4 children: Susan Haseman, Carol (Stan Anderson) June, David (MaryBeth) Burgmeier, Janet (Chris) Angyal, 10 grandchildren: Pamela, Lisa, Daniel Haseman: Matthew, Timothy, Rebecca June: Jonathan & Barbara Burgmeier: William & Hannah Angyal, 2 step granddaughters: Alyssa & Lauren Angyal, 5 great grandchildren, brother Paul Burgmeier, along with many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. There are no calling hours.
