Lesley Hertel, 76, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long illness. She was residing with her daughter and best friend Kimberly, her husband George and their son Samuel in there West Monroe home. Lesley's life was full of joy and she shared that joy with all of her friends and family. To know Lesley and be a part of her life was a gift. She was born in Brooklyn, New York. After attending Packer Collegiate Institute combined with modeling and the ballet she moved to Chicago, Illinois. Over the years she married and cared for three daughters. Her residence for many years prior to moving to her daughters was in Connecticut where she left behind many of her dearest friends. She was employed at People's Bank as their reconciliator for over 25 years.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters Kimberly Jameson-Stupp of West Monroe, New York, Robyne Hertel of Loris, South Carolina and Deborah Wilson of Cabo, Mexico. A great loss will also be felt by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration candlelight service will be held at Cicero United Methodist Church at 4pm on Saturday, November 26th at 4 p.m.
